Complex Sentence (मिश्रित वाक्य)
Complex sentence means a combination of compound and the mixed sentences. The compound sentence has two or more complete sentences or the mixed sentences at least contains one incomplete sentence.
Complex sentences are dependent on clauses. Clauses are the group of words that form sentences, a clause must contain a subject and a verb.
The Complex sentence has two types of clauses:
a) Independent - expresses a complete idea, i.e. a sentence and makes sense all by itself.
b) Dependent - does not express a complete idea, it is a part sentence and does not make sense by itself.
Dependent clauses begin with a subordinating conjuction e.g when, while, that, because, before, since after, or etc.
(मिश्रित वाक्य, वह वाक्य है जिसमे कम से कम दो वाक्यखंड होते है ।इन दो वाक्यखंडो मे से एक वाक्यखंड स्वतंत्र और दूसरा आश्रित होता है । स्वतंत्र वाक्यखंड की अनुपस्थिति मे आश्रित वाक्यखंड को कोई स्पष्ट अर्थ नही निकलता है।
आश्रित वाक्यखंड जैसे- when, while, that, before, because, since after, or आदि से आरंभ होता है। )
Example:
The teacher returned the answer sheet after she noticed the error. (शिक्षक गलती गौर करने के बाद उत्तर पत्र लौट दिए।)
Here,
Teacher - is subject.
Returned - is verb.
After - is subordinate.
She - is subject.
Noticed - is verb.
1) Affirmative Sentence:
Examples:
Nobody believes him, because he is a fraud.
(कोई भी उस पर विश्वास नही करता क्योंकि वह एक धोखेबाज है।)
When she went out, there was a sign of rain. (जब वह बाहर निकली, बारिश के लक्षण था।)
You have two sons, both of whom are lawyers. (आपके दो बेटे हैं, जो वकील हैं।)
The problem is that she comes in time. (समस्या यह है कि वह समय में आता है)
2) Negative Sentence:
You will be punished by the teacher because you break the rules.
( तुमने नियम को तोड़े है, इसलिए शिक्षक द्वारा दंडित किया जाएगा।)
If you don't practice now then you will commit silly mistakes in your exams.
(अगर आप अब अभ्यास नहीं करते हो तो आप अपने परीक्षा मेंमूर्खतापूर्ण गलतियाँ करोगे।)
3) Interrogative Sentence:
Have you checked your car before you go on holiday?
(आप छुट्टी पर जाने से पहले आप अपनी कार की जाँच की है?)
Did Asha listen to me and kept playing in the rain whole day?
(क्या आशा मेरी बात मानी और पूरे दिन बारिश मे खेल रही थी?)
