Use of As well As (भी/तथा का उपयोग)
The word "as well as" is used like "in addition" in the sentence. It is used as an idiom. Let see how "as well as" is used in Hindi in the sentence.
Examples of using "as well as" in a sentence:
1) I as well as he have been detained by the teacher.
मै तथा वह शिक्षक के द्वारा रोक लिए गये हैं। (Mai tatha vah shikshak ke dwara rok liye gye hai).
2) He is equally responsible for this conspiracy as well.
वह इस षड्यंत्र के लिए भी समान रूप से जिम्मेवार है। (Vah is shadyantra ke liye bhi saman rup se jimmevar hai).
3) They confused to be co-conspirators of the felony as well.
उन लोगो ने अपराधिक कार्य के लिए भी सह- षड्यंत्रकारी होना स्वीकार कर लिया। (Un logo ne aapradhik karya ke liye bh sah-shadyantrakari hona swikaar kar liya).
4) A person needs to be witty and sly as well to succeed in politics.
एक व्यक्ति को राजनिति मे प्रवीण होने के लिए हाजिर जवाब और धूर्त होना भी चाहिए। (Ek vyakti ko rajniti me pravin hone ke liye hajir jawab aur dhrt hona bhi chahiye).
5) Slow economic growth as well as weak management led to the company's downfall.
धीमी आर्थिक वृद्धि और कमजोर प्रबंधन कंपनी को भी पतन की ओर ले गई। (Dhimi aarthik vridhi aur kamjor prabandhan company ko bhi patan ki or le gyi).
6) He was dismissed from the firm on the grounds of corruption and poor ethics as well.
उसे भ्रष्टाचार और खराब नीति के आरोप मे भी कंपनी से निष्कासित कर दिया गया। (Use bharastrachar aur kharab niti ke aarop me bhi company se nishkashit kar diya gya).
7) The teachers as well as the students were poisoned by the canteen food.
कैन्टीन का विषाक्त भोजन करने से भी शिक्षकवृंद और छात्रगण बीमार पङ गए। (Canteen ka vishakt bhojan karne se bhi shikshakvrind aur chatragan bimar pad gye).
8) He was awarded the Nobel prize for chemistry and economic as well.
उसे रासायन शास्त्र और अर्थ शास्त्र के लिए भी नोबेल पुरूस्कारो से नवाजा गया। (Use rasayan shastra aur arth shastra ke liye bhi nobel puruskaro se navaja gya).
9) Seventh as well as eighth grade students were on a picnic.
सातवीं और आठवीं कक्षा के छात्र भी पिकनिक पर गए। (Satvi aur aathvi kaksha ke chatra bhi picnic par gye).
10) I have good rapport with him as well.
मेरा उनके साथ भी अच्छा तालमेल है। (Mera unke sath bhi acha talmel hai).
11) We will be traveling to US as well as Europe.
हम लोग अमेरिका और यूरोप की भी यात्रा पर जाएंगे। (Humlog America aur Europe ki bhi yatra par jayenge).
12) The Gupta as well as the Sharma family came for the party.
गुप्ता और शर्मा परिवार भी सामारोह मे आए। (Gupta aurr Sharma parivaar bhi samaroh me aaye).
13) She is smart as well as beautiful.
वह चतुर और सुंदर भी है। (Vah chatur aur sundar bhi hai).
14) He got hurt in his arm as well as in his leg.
उसके हाथ के साथ ही उसके पैर मे भी चोट लग गई। (Uske haath ke saath hi uske pair me bhi chot lag gyi).
15) I have to clean the floor as well as cook the food.
मुझे फर्श साफ करने के साथ खाना भी पकाना है। (Mujhe pharsh saaf karne ke saath khana bhi pakana hai).
16) Smoking is dangerous as well as making you smell bad.
धूम्रपान खतरनाक है साथ ही बुरा सुगंध भी आता हैं। (Dhumrapaan khatarnaak hai saath hi bura sugandh bhi aata hai).
