Optative Sentence (इच्छा वाचक वाक्य)


The type of sentences which contains a wish is present is called as optative sentence. (वह वाक्य जिसमे आकांक्षा अभिव्यक्त हो उसे इच्छा वाचक वाक्य कहते है।) 

Examples: May all be healthy! May all be happy!

1) God bless you! (भगवान आपका भला करे!) - Bhagwan apka bhala kre!.

2) May god be kind! (भगवान की तुम पर कृपा हो!) - Bhagwan ki tum par kripa ho!

3) God willing! you will succeed. (भगवान ने चाहा! तो आप सफल होंगे।) - Bhagwan ne chaha! ro tum safal hoge.

4) Fear the almighty! (भगवान से डरो!) - Bhagwan se daro!

5) May the best win! (सबसे अच्छा जीत हो!) - Sabse acha jeet ho!

6) Touch wood to your good health! (भगवान करे तुम स्वास्थ्य रहो!) - Bhagwan kare tum healthy rho!

7) Pray to almighty god for your peace! (भगवान से शांति की दुआ करो!) - Bhagwan se shanti ki dua kro!

8) Hope for the best! (अच्छे के लिए आशा!)- Ache ke liye aasha!
